Robert A. Bruce is an experienced, compassionate and caring attorney with a diverse and unique professional background. PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Served as a Criminal Prosecutor for two Solicitor's Offices during which time he prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies that included juvenile cases, DUI, Burglary, Armed Roobery and Murder
  • Served as a municipal Solicitor for the City of Rock Hill during which time he prosecuted offenses including DUI
  • Served as Associate Counsel for an insurance company
  • Many years of private practice experience

He was admitted to practice law in South Carolina in 1993. During his professional legal career, he has practiced law in a number of areas of law including personal injury, insurance defense, family law, criminal defense and civil litigation matters. 

 

Mr. Bruce served as a criminal prosecutor for two different Solicitor's Offices in South Carolina as well as having served as a municipal prosecutor. During his days as a prosecutor, he successfully tried cases ranging from DUI to murder. He analyzed hundreds of criminal cases evaluating the evidentary strenghts and weaknesses of each case, and presented such evidence at trial in a manner that best reflected the State's case. Mr. Bruce also conducted legal training classes for law enforcement officers.    

 

Mr. Bruce has also served as an in-house counsel for an insurance company and its affiliated companies. During this time, managed litigation nationally and held numerous other responsibilities. He provided legal counsel, guidance and advice. He provided legal review of contracts and commercial leases. Mr. Bruce also has significant regulatory compliance experience in the insurance industry. Mr. Bruce also previously served as a Commissioner on the South Carolina State Ethics Commission.
